Summary
The Avatar (アバター Abatā ) was originally an ordinary citizen of Sonic's World, caught in the crossfire of the Eggman Empire's world takeover after the defeat of Sonic the Hedgehog at the hands of Infinite. Months later, he would be found and recruited by The Resistance in a bid to assist taking back the planet; thus becoming The Rookie (ルーキー Rūkī ).
Not much is known about The Avatar's past, nor is it ever elaborated what experiences and trials they faced during the first six months they spent as a civilian in war. All that's known is their encounter with the mercenary Jackal, Infinite, and their sole survival amongst a slaughtered group prior to becoming a Resistance member. They would prove vital in turning the tides of war, however, such as boarding the Death Egg to aid in the rescue of Sonic or wielding a Phantom Ruby Prototype to save The Resistance as a whole.
The Rookie aided Modern Sonic and Classic Sonic in defeating not only Infinite, but also the Death Egg Robot that succeeded him. After the final battle of the Eggman War, and a farewell to the new friends he made along the way, The Rookie ventured onwards into a world no longer oppressed by massive machines and ruthless mercenaries.

- Special Action: The Burst Wispon's special action causes explosions to launch the Rookie into the air. This can be done repeatedly.
- Cube Wispon: Using the power of the Blue Cube Wisp, the Avatar can slam down the hammer-like weapon on the ground to create shockwaves. When an opponent is caught in the shockwaves, they're frozen inside of a blue cube. The Avatar slams down the hammer once more to turn shatter the opponent and turn them into small blue cubes.
- Special Action: The Cube Wispon's special action allows the Avatar to create platforms, even while in midair.
- Drill Wispon: Using the power of the Yellow Drill Wisp, the Avatar uses this Wispon to quickly dash several meters forward in a lunging attack.
