~ Atlas to Kratos |
Summary
Atlas is one of the many enemies that Kratos encounters on his journeys. He serves as part of the final boss with Persephone in God of War: Chains of Olympus.
He was the former military leader of the Titans, and was the son of Iapetus, Cronos' brother, thereby making him the latter's nephew.
Powers and Stats
Tier: Low 1-C
Name: Atlas
Origin: God of War
Gender: Male
Age: At least ten thousands of years old
Classification: Deity, Titan, Titan of Endurance
Powers and Abilities:
- Superhuman Physical Characteristics
- Immortality (Types 1 and 2)
- Enhanced Senses (All the Greek Gods, including Primordials, Titans and Olympians, can also hear to their believers' prayers and cries for help[1])
- Self-Sustenance (All Types. Gods have no need[2] to eat, drink or sleep[3], nor do they need to breathe)
- Divine Magic
- Acausality (Types 1 and 4. Unaffected by changes to the past, even after Kratos brought the Titans to the present to avert the outcome of the Great War. Time is completely meaningless to the Titans[4], and due to being Gods themselves, the laws of time and space operate differently for them[5])
- Cosmic Awareness and Clairvoyance (Gods are aware of all that would ever occur within their domains across time and space[5] and are ever present throughout them[6])
- Large Size (Type 2. Around the same height as his uncle Cronos)
- Abstract Existence (Type 2. Should embody his domain in a similar manner to other Titans and Olympians)
- Additional Arms
- Power Bestowal (Bestowed upon Kratos the last remnants of his magical power so that he could defeat the Sisters of Fate)
- Power Nullification (Via his magic, which Kratos used to nullify Atropos' Sphere of Death[7])
- Earth Manipulation
- Empowerment (All Greek Gods, Primordials, Titans and Olympians alike, grow stronger over the course of millenia through prayers from their followers[8], often suffering from encumberments if too many of their followers die, some gods even risking complete cessation of their existence[9][10])
Resistance to the following:
- Electricity Manipulation and Deconstruction (Withstood and resisted being electrocuted by Poseidon's abilities at full force for a long period, his attempts to resist and break free only being cut short by Hades using this chance to steal his soul[11])
- Immunity to Soul Manipulation, Conceptual Manipulation (Type 1), Mind Manipulation, Memory Manipulation and Probability Manipulation (Unaffected by the loss of his soul, which he lost to Hades. Prior to this, he also withstood Poseidon's electric barrage at full force for a long period.[11] Souls are constructs of magic, composed of their form, the metaphysical nature of a being, their luck, their mind and their direction. Damaging souls can shatter and fragment their memories as a consequence[12])
- Pain Manipulation and Fire Manipulation (Completely unaffected by his innards being cut out into big meat chunks. Also unaffected by lava flowing through and over his body[13])
- Solar Radiation and Status Effect Inducement (Completely unharmed by Helios's power shining brightly beyond his fist)
- Disease Manipulation (All the gods are unfazed by the disease that plagued the entire world when Hermes died in God of War 3)
Attack Potency: Low Complex Multiverse level (Slightly stronger than Cronos in physical strength[14]. In his prime, he stated that he could've easily grievously wounded Hades had his attacks landed at the God of the Underworld[15]. Shortly after having been released from a thousand-year period of torture and imprisonment, he quickly and easily defeated[16] Helios and kidnapped him. While having the Power of the Sun added atop his own[16], he caused[16] severe damage to and threatened to quickly destroy[16] the Pillar of the World, which held up and supported the Greek Pantheon for thousands of years, with its destruction threatening to make[17] all of[18] creation[19] and everything that had ever come before to cease to exist, as well as to cause everything to revert back into Chaos[16], the Primordial void of disorder that preceded[20] all of creation[21]. Upon being halted on his task, he was chained[16] to the top of the destroyed Pillar and forced to lift the cosmos by himself, and he did this for nearly twenty years without tiring out. Should be considerably superior to his uncle, Hyperion, who carried into battle a spear that was[21] stated to possess the strength to hold up the cosmos)
Speed: Infinite (Likely scalable to the Sisters of Fate. Slightly superior to Cronos. Should be superior to his other fellow Titans, who could fight on par with Hermes in the Great War[11]. Managed to easily defeat, restrain and kidnap Helios even after having been tortured and imprisoned for over 1000 years, and having been depowered as a result of having his soul stripped from him by Hades. Should be faster than Kratos in his old age)
Lifting Strength: Immeasurable (Easily held up the entirety of the Greek World upon his shoulders for nearly 20 years)
Striking Strength: Low Complex Multiverse level (Is the strongest Titan in raw strength, resisted a younger Hades' soul rip, which is based off of physical strength, even while being actively paralyzed by Poseidon, and easily overpowered and kidnapped Helios while depowered and no longer in his prime)
Durability: Low Complex Multiverse level (Tanked[16] Persephone's Death Explosion, which warped and destroyed the top floor of the damaged Pillar of the World[16], without being harmed or scratched in the slightest. Was able to resist being struck by Poseidon's lightning, even when off-guard. Completely unaffected by Helios' light[16], which illuminated the entirety of the Underworld while the latter was held captive and incapacitated by Atlas' hand,[16] with the Underworld being infinite in size)
Stamina: Infinite (Fought in the Titanomachy, which lasted several hundreds of years, withstood thousands of years and torture as well as held up the Greek Pantheon for nearly two decades without showing any signs of being even the slightest bit exhausted or tired, even after one of his arms was unchained. Is cursed to hold up the Greek Pantheon for all of eternity)
Range: Hundreds of Meters due to Sheer Size, Kilometers with Rock Throws, up to at least Planetary with Earthquakes (His power, Atlas Quake, allows Kratos to shake the entire world at his command[15]), Universal+ with powers (Gods are present across their domains, which at the minimum span all of space and time[22])
Standard Equipment: Atlas' Hammer
Intelligence: Likely Above Average (Was the military leader of the Titans during the centuries-long Titan War[23] and was able to successfully carry out Persephone's plan to take down Olympus and they both nearly succeeded)
Weaknesses: The Blade of Olympus, His size makes him somewhat cumbersome. He is not in his prime due to having had his soul absorbed by Hades, but is still a considerably powerful foe for the average Olympian God to deal with.
Notable Attacks/Techniques:
- Atlas' Quake (Earthquake): By smashing the ground with his fists, Atlas can cause massive earthquakes.
- Atlas' Hammer: A hammer carried into battle by Atlas on the first stages of the Titanomachy, which could create massive earthquaks and manipulate the earth with its hits, and which was purported by the legends to possess the weight of the world.
