“ | A king never betrays the people who trust him. And... I promised someone very important to become a better person and to cherish the people around me. | „ |
~ Arthur to Elijah |

“ | A low groan was the only sound I heard from Turman before we all fell to the ground. Suddenly, I felt like I was deep underwater. I couldn’t breathe and the surrounding air seemed to want to crush me. What was this? It was terrifying. I’d heard that some elite fighters were able to produce a killing intent that could scare mana beasts away, but what the hell was this? Was there such a thing as a killing intent that could actually kill people? | „ |
~ Kagul Rolfe in the presence of Note's killing intent |

“ | I thought of you as nothing more than a mere wasp I deemed unnecessary to kill. But even the holiest of saints would swat it down, without hesitation, if said wasp so much as dared to sting him. | „ |
~ Arthur to Lucas |

“ | The fact is that you’re a walking collection of statistical improbabilities, You have an innate ability to comprehend the workings of the four main elements, as well as some of their deviating elemental forms, coinciding so neatly with the fact that comprehension of all four elements is necessary to unlock the mysteries of aether, which the very princess of dragons just so happens to have kindly bestowed upon you. Everything about you is an outlier, boy. Even asuras don’t have that much innate talent and luck. | „ |
~ Wren to Arthur |

“ | I tried to crawl away; it was all I could manage. I cared not to save face in front of my soldiers. If I didn’t get out of there, I knew I wouldn’t live to feel ashamed. That was when he landed in front of me. His striking blue eyes, which radiated power, gazed down at me in annoyance. I was the son of Karnal Vale, heir to the House of Vale! Yet in front of this boy, who appeared no older than me, I was nothing—not a warrior, not a leader, not a mage. Nothing. | „ |
~ Steffan Vale in the presence of Arthur's Power |

Determined to live differently from his past life, Arthur embraces this second chance with the goal of experiencing love, friendship, and the warmth of family—things he was deprived of as King Grey. His journey leads him to become a formidable warrior, shaping the fate of Dicathen as he strives to protect those he cherishes.

- Dawn's Ballad: During a visit to the auction house with Sylvie and the Helstea Family, Arthur was given the opportunity to choose any weapon he desired. Unable to find a suitable one, he noticed Sylvie digging through a pile of discarded weapons, where she uncovered an unremarkable black rod. Upon closer inspection, Arthur realized it was a sword but was unable to unsheathe it until he activated his beast will. Dawn's Ballad featured a translucent teal blade, contrasting sharply with its matte-black scabbard and handle. The sword had a sleek, narrow design akin to a rapier but with a double edge, making it effective for both slashing and thrusting. After absorbing Arthur’s blood, the weapon bonded with him, adjusting its balance and grip to fit him perfectly. Later, Arthur discovered that the sword was an experimental creation of the asura Wren Kain IV, who deemed it a failure and discarded it in the Beast Glades. Despite this, the weapon proved to be exceptional in battle. However, during his fight against the retainer Jagrette, its blade dulled, and the tip melted due to Jagrette’s corrosive abilities, disrupting its delicate balance. Arthur continued using the damaged sword until his confrontation with Cadell, where Dawn's Ballad was ultimately shattered by Cadell’s soulfire after Arthur managed to wound the scythe with an Aether-infused slash.

Dawn's Ballad
Intelligence: Extraordinary Genius
He possesses the ingenuity to recreate and modify steam engines for new fuel types[77], understands the mechanics of firearms and their production, and has reinvented the crucible method[78] while demonstrating considerable expertise in crafting high-quality weapons. It is implied that his knowledge extends far beyond these areas, as he had little else to do in his previous life but learn. However, he is cautious about introducing too many technological advancements that could drastically alter the world. He also independently discovered how to create a mana core and successfully taught Lilia—a girl with only a 1% chance of becoming a mage due to her genetics—how to form one as well[79][80][81]. He was able to replicate the first stage of Mirage Walk within a month through mere observation of Kordri, a feat that took Windsom an entire year to master even with specialized guidance[82]. Additionally, his advanced understanding of human anatomy allowed him to refine Mirage Walk further, enabling its use in a standing position—something even Kordri himself could not accomplish[83][84]. He also possesses knowledge of all martial arts from his previous world, including both traditional and modern styles[85]. He is also highly knowledgeable in the art of war and strategy, having undergone rigorous tutelage under Lady Vera in these disciplines[86].
He possessed an exceptional fighting sense even during his first serious battle, quickly rising to become the most skilled fighter in his country—a world where strength and combat prowess were essential to achieving success. Despite having a below-average ki center that limited his raw strength and speed, he compensated through sheer skill and adaptability[87][88][89][90]. Arthur's ability to comprehend ki techniques was so advanced that he could learn them simply by studying a picture in a book—an otherwise impossible feat[91].
Arthur underwent rigorous training under Kordri, a martial artist with centuries of experience, and earned his recognition. His refined combat skills enabled him to withstand four stronger and faster opponents while being restricted from striking back, yet they failed to land any meaningful blows. He also mastered and applied Aikido, referred to as "the art of throws," against Taci, further enhancing his hand-to-hand combat abilities[92][93]. His swordsmanship improved significantly, and he gained extensive experience in battling multiple opponents simultaneously. By the end of his training, his previous level of skill was akin to a toddler just learning to walk in comparison to his newfound mastery[94].
Standard Tactics:
Weaknesses: Overexerting his mana core comes with severe consequences, often leading to dangerous backlash. Utilizing abilities like Static Void and Realmheart significantly drains his stamina, while Burst Step puts immense strain on his legs, with the risk of crippling him if overused. The full activation of Unleashed Realmheart is particularly fatal, as prolonged use will inevitably lead to his death, with the exact timeframe depending on the extent of power he draws.
