You can know your enemy without becoming him. That is the burden Sigmar left us to bear. It is a heavy one and it forces us to be strong for our own good. Do you understand?
~ Diedrick to his squire

Let us not seek reward. Let us not ask for power. Let us not wait on that which is given. Let us take what is ours.

Darkness is ours. Ruin is ours. The world turns beneath our feet for the taking. Real power resides not with gods or any following but with those who take it from them.

I am Archaon, doom to my enemies, doom to all the world, doom to all the gods invested in that world. Come with me.

Archaon, true name Diederick Kastner, is the Everchosen, the Three-Eyed King, the Lord of the End Times and the self-proclaimed supreme champion of the four Gods of Chaos who was sent to command the last, and greatest Chaos Invasion during the apocalyptic age known simply as the End Times. Out of all the Everchosen of Chaos who have assailed the world over the ages, Archaon is by far the most ruthless and the most powerful. He is an individual that shall decide the fate of entire nations, whose sword can lay waste to heroes and armies and whose unbreakable will can break and dominate those of Gods. Archaon is truly the Herald of the Apocalypse, blessed with dreadful artifacts of ancient evil, each one bestowed as a reward for accomplishing impossible trials. Archaon set forth upon the World as the Herald of the Apocalypse, a warrior who did the unthinkable and succeeded where hundreds of other Champions of Chaos had failed. In the climax of the End Times, Archaon had battled the God-King Sigmar and brought about the final end of the World that Was…

Radiates an aura of Charm and Empathy that causes his opponents to not want to harm him), Fear Manipulation (Fills all in his presence with fear and dread, breaking down their desire to fight him. His opponents are filled with a sense of utter hopelessness and the inevitability of their death at the hands of the Everchosen and by extension the Chaos Gods), Precognition (Via Eye of Sheerian, allows him to see his opponents actions a few moments before they make them. Often has visions of the far future/past as well), Enhanced Senses (Can Scan entire continents with the Eye of Sheerian), Information Analysis (Via Witchsight and Eye of Sheerian/magic), Statistics Amplification (Able to amp his strength/speed x2 via unravelling the enchantments on his sword, adding the strength of the Greater Daemon U'Zuhl to his own), Reality Warping (Archaons armour twists and alters reality, bending swords raised against him, deflecting projectiles and robbing strikes/magic of their power. The Mark of Tzeentch provides an active version as well), Power Nullification (Via Mark of Nurgle/Eye of Sheerian which he can use to strip an opponent of their abilities. Can use Aethyr Manipulation to make his opponent's abilities 'ungovernable'), Durability Negation (Via numerous abilities), Possession (Via U'zuhl), Instinctive Reaction (U'zuhl will attack and consume the soul of anyone who wields it other then Archaon), BFR/Soul Manipulation (Can create portals to the Realm of Chaos inside his opponent from thousands of kilometres away, where they will inevitably have their soul consumed by a Daemons or even the Chaos Gods themselves. Additionally The Slayer of Kings consumes the souls of those it stabs), Hellfire Manipulation (Can create Daemonic Flames to blast his enemies or to wreath his sword in), minor Matter Manipulation (Can almost instantly incinerate an opponent with his Daemon Fire), Corruption (Wherever Archaon walks the landscape becomes corrupted, turned Middenheim into an extension of the Chaos Wastes), Weather Manipulation (A great and powerful storm follows Archaon wherever he goes, blocking out the sun and heralding the arrival of the apocalypse. He can also direct this storm for offensive purposes), Regeneration Negation (Likely Low-High; was able to permanently remove Belakor's foot with the Slayer of Kings), Damage Reduction (Via Armour of Morkarr and he also has a Warpstone skeleton plus his veins have been changed into a protective barrier under his skin similar to chain mail vastly reducing incoming damage), Non-Physical Interaction (Can interact with Wraiths/Spirits. The Slayer of Kings can interact with Abstract and Non-existent beings), Sealing (Knows how to Seal Daemons into swords), Light Manipulation (Via Eye of Sheerian), Mind Manipulation (The Eye of Sheerian shines with a hypnotic glow), Life Manipulation (The Slayer of Kings can drain the life force of his opponents), Flight/Shapeshifting (Via Dorghar), likely Disease Manipulation/Statistics Reduction (Surrounded by an Aura of Pestilance that reduces the chances of ranged/melee attacks to land), Rage Power (Via Mark of Khorne), Aethyr Manipulation (Archaon can utilise the Lores of Dhar, Death, Fire, Metal, Shadow, Universal Chaos, Tzeentch, Nurgle, Slaanesh, Petty and Battle magic respectively)

Fire Manipulation (Walks off fire attacks from battle wizards that causes the plate of his armour to turn black), Mind Manipulation (Resistant to the Mind Scalding effects of the Altar of Ultimate Darkness), Petrification/Disease Manipulation (Immune to the effects of a Cockatrice and the plague inflicted upon his men), Fate Manipulation (Belakor has locked Diedricks fate in stone, one would have to overcome this to manipulate his fate), Madness Manipulation (Immune to the madness inducing properties of the Chaos Wastes), Chaos Manipulation/Empathic Manipulation/Corruption/Transmutation, Soul Manipulation and Possession (Due to spending a large amount of time in the Chaos Wastes where Aethyr flows wildly he should have a degree of resistance to the Corrupting, Mutating, Ensnaring, Maddening, possessing and Soul stealing nature of the power of Chaos that is Aethyr) | Madness and Mind Manipulation (Survived the Crystal Labyrinth of Tzeentch which is known to drive even Daemons to madness. Resists the effects of the Realm of Chaos), Soul Manipulation (Archaon's soul is protected by the Chaos Gods), Fate Manipulation (Once Archaon's soul grows in power he eventually becomes able to resist Belakor's Fate Manipulation), Fear Manipulation (The Mark of Chaos Undivided has rendered Archaon incapable of feeling fear and dread. Resists the fear aura of a bloodthirster that can cause peoples hearts to stop instantly), Biological Mutation/Transmutation (Archaon resisted the breath of Flamefang which mutates all it affects), Empathic Manipulation (Resisted the temptations of Slaaneshi Daemons in the realm of Chaos), Disease Manipulation (Fought off the diseases Nurgle tested him with), Durability Negation (Magical attacks that would normally negate durability are stopped by the Armour of Morkar regardless. Physical attacks that cause internal shockwaves are less effective due to his Warpstone Skeleton/Armour of Morkar), Possession (Fought off possession attempts by literally countless Daemons in the Realm of Chaos), Information Analysis (If people try to scry him or glean knowledge from or about him, the Eye of Sheerian will notify Archaon and immediately turn the would-be-scrier into a daemonic portal to the Realm of Chaos), Biological Absorption (The Armour of Morkar protected Archaon from being assimilated by the Chaos Dragon Flamefang), Precognition (Kairos Fateweaver was unable to detect or see Archaons intentions despite him being able to see the future and even manipulate it), Power Nullification (His magic power is provided directly via his Mark of Tzeentch, as such Archaon is not affected by spells or magic items that normally affect wizards) High Pain Tolerance (Can endure 'Pain beyond flesh'), Poison Manipulation (Via being the Chosen of Nurgle), Void Manipulation (Like the other Incarnates, he was able to survive tumbling through the void into the new Mortal Realms), Aethyr Manipulation (Possesses immense resistance to all the different Lores of Magic via Mark of Khorne and The Armour of Morkar)

Attack Potency: At least Large Building level (Split the skull of a Beastman Bull in a few strikes. Bulls should be physically comparable to Vampire Lords who can survive this), likely Large Island level (Spent years scouring the Chaos Wastes fighting some of the most powerful Champions of Chaos in the world. Should scale to people such as Skarr Bloodwrath) | Planet level physically (Comparable to the Incarnates although weaker then Grimgor. The Incarnates are able to contain an entire Wind of Magic inside of them. Channelling this power allowed the Grey Seers to move the moon Morslieb closer to Earth), higher with U'Zuhl (One shotted Grimgor once he unleashed U'Zuhl. Able to trade blows with Sigmar), At least Small Planet level, likely Planet level with magic (Comparable to other level 4 Wizards. Far superior to Grey Seers who with their combined power, could pull Morslieb closer to the Earth)

Speed: Supersonic movement speed (Comparable to Dark Elf warriors/warlords who are comparable to Vampires who can outrun musket fire), Massively Hypersonic reactions (Scales to other characters that can react to Lightning) | Same as before plus Massively Hypersonic with Dorghar in travel form, varies from Massively Hypersonic to Speed of Light attack speed with Magic.

Lifting Strength: At least Superhuman likely Class 100 (comparable to Malekith) | Class T (Was able to lift the claw/toe of Krakanrok the Black who, while half-buried in the ground, was bigger than the largest mountains in the world)

Striking Strength: At least Large Building Class likely Large Island Class | Planet Class

Durability: At least Large Building level likely Large Island level (Able to take multiple blows from large monsters such as Bulls, which physically scale to vampires. Should scale to other Champions of Chaos such as Skarr Bloodwrath) | Planet level (Able to take hits from Bloodlusted Sigmar)

Stamina: Immense. During his search for the Treasures of Chaos, Archaon almost never stopped. Has spent two centuries in almost constant combat. Even when completely drained of all stamina Archaon can continue on just willpower alone.

Range: Standard Melee Range | Standard Melee range with Slayer of Kings, at least Kilometres with Auras (Archaons aura affects his entire army that stretches across the horizon), even higher with magic/The Eye of Sheerian (Created a tear in reality into the Realm of Chaos inside Naieth from thousands of kilometres away)

Standard Equipment: Terminus, plate armour | The 6 Treasures of Chaos: The Slayer of Kings, The Eye of Sheerian, The Crown of Domination, The Armour of Morkar, Dorghar the Steed of the Apocalypse, 3 Jars of plague gifted to him by Nurgle himself.

Intelligence: Genius. In his previous life as Diederick Kastner, he was an accomplished scholar. Planned and executed an infiltration of the most secure church in the empire. Can seemingly out plan/surprise a lord of change who can see infinite futures/possibilities. Is surprisingly careful, planned his confrontation with Belakor for years if not decades in advance who was altering his destiny/fate directly and could observe Archaon whenever he wanted. Is incredibly gifted in combat, considered unbeatable in a duel. Possesses an immense knowledge of different styles of combat/use of multiple types of weapons.

Standard Tactics: Diedrick is a highly skilled swordsman and warrior, utilises melee attacks with his Holy Greatsword Terminus | Archaon abuses his Treasures of Chaos as much as possible. Will use the Eye of Sheerian/Witchsight to perceive his opponent's thoughts/intentions and literal possible futures and formulate a strategy accordingly. Is a skilled warrior and user of Aethyr Manipulation. Considered almost unbeatable in a duel due to his versatility and meticulous planning.

Weaknesses: Due to the trauma of losing his previous life he can become irrational when provoked regarding Sigmar. The Eye of Sheerian has far lower durability then Archaon himself. Occasionally will underestimate his opponent such as Grimgor due to his beastly appearance.

Notable Attacks/Techniques:

Terminus: The Holy Greatsword inherited from his adoptive father Siuer Kastner. Glows with a supernatural flame and is particularly effective against evil beings and those blessed by the Chaos Gods. Diedrick gave up this sword once he located the Slayer of Kings.

Aethyr Manipulation: Due to his Mark of Tzeentch, Archaon is as skilled a spell caster as the greatest of the age. Can utilise the Lores of Dhar, Death, Fire, Metal, Shadow, Universal Chaos, Tzeentch, Nurgle, Slaanesh, Petty and Battle magic respectively.

Mark of Chaos Undivided.png

The Mark of the Chaos Undivided: Archaon was rewarded with this for locating the Altar of Ultimate Darkness. He fought through a literal sea of Chaos Spawn while completely stripped of his armour and weaponry. Obliterating them with his hands, feet, elbows and knees. Provides Archaon with the blessings of the Four Chaos Gods.

The Blessing of Khorne provides additional magical resistance. The Blessing of Nurgle causes Archaon to emit an invisible cloud of corrupt spoiling magic, a miasma of power that is invisible except to another wizard and nullifies attempts at magic in a large area. The Blessing of Tzeentch provides Archaon with his magical prowess, due to these abilities which normally nullify magic do not work on him as his magical power is granted by Tzeentch. The Blessing of Slaanesh provides an aura of charm and empathy so strong that no foes will cast spells at him or attack him.

Armor of morkarr.png

Armour of Morkar: Armour worn by the first of the Everchosen, Archaon tore it from the grips of the spirit of Morkar himself. This chaos forged plate armour shields him from all but the greatest of blows, while powerful enchantments etched into the armour ensure it is nigh-invulnerable to the magics of his enemy, even passing on these enchantments to his flesh underneath for perfect protection even without the armour itself.

The evil within the plates warp and twist reality around the Herald of the Apocalypse, swords bend, arrows are deflected and even magic falters in its presence, as all attacks no matter how great lose strength when striking him. Alongside the armour itself, he has also claimed the Runeshield of Morkar, blessed by the four ruinous powers, it is nearly as durable as the armour itself.

Eye of sheerian.png

Eye of Sheerian: This powerful Tzeenchian artifact that radiates magical power. Archaon acquired this treasure by cutting it from the belly of the legendary Chaos Dragon, Flamefang. Through its use, it allows it's user to peer into the vast and twisting skein of possibilities, scan entire continents in moments, see any and all actions his opponent may utilize before they have even thought of them, see years into both the past and present, provide insightful visions and useful knowledge and alert him to hidden threats while also protecting him from scrying and other forms of information gathering. This allows him to always have an upper hand over his enemies, creating perfect battle strategies and never wasting a single second in battle.

What's more, as a magical focus, it provides plentiful other useful abilities including generating blinding lights, a hypnotic presence, and the power to manipulate the raw energies of magic itself, boosting his sorcerous powers, causing any effect of harmful magic to be utterly nullified and enchanted weapons to be stripped of their enchantments as they come near him.

Dorghar: This mighty Daemon only assumes the form of a horse for Archaon's sake. Able to shift into almost anything including even more esoteric forms like black lightning and searing Daemonic Flames, this versatile mount was stolen from the Realm of Chaos itself, out of the menagerie of the Daemon Prince Agrammon.

Slayer of Kings.png

Slayer of Kings: The mighty Daemonblade of the Everchosen. Archaon claimed this treasure from under the claw of the truly enormous Dragon Ogre Krakanrok the Black who is far larger than a mountain. It is inhabited by a Greater Daemon named U'zuhl the Skulltaker who's vitality Archaon can temporarily add to his own, vastly increasing his strength/speed and restores his stamina.

It will instantly incinerate and consume or possess the soul of anyone other than the Everchosen who attempt to wield it or are impaled upon it. Its edge can cut almost any type of weapon/armour and this extends to more esoteric things like spirits/energy. He will often wreath it in Daemonic Hellfire.

Crown of Domination.png

Crown of Domination: This mighty crown exudes an aura of raw malice and fear. It simultaneously manipulates the willpower of Archaon's millions of followers, allowing them to form a coherent fighting unit which would normally be impossible for such a large army of followers of Chaos due to infighting. It also unlocks the true potential of the Eye of Sheerian when placed into the socket left for it inside the unholy crown. Archaon received this treasure after passing tests from the four chaos gods themselves.

Nurgle sent his most virulent plagues and even when reduced to a shambling mass of bones he still kept going. Slaanesh sent it's most tempting consorts to no avail. Tzeentch made him traverse a crystal labyrinth which would be extremely difficult for even a Greater Daemon but Archaon merely blindfolded himself and trusted his own instincts. Finally, Khorne simply made him fight a Bloodthirster directly who he strangled with its own whip. With this last treasure, he could be crowned the Everchosen and bringer of the Apocalypse.
