Summary
Aranea were a species of artificial demi-lycanthropes that maintained the ability to shapeshift from humanoid form to that of an enormous monstrous spider. Long ago they were cast out of their cities once their use in the Night Wars had been completed, and since then have spread and traded through illusions and secret means. Long ago they were purged from their homes in genocide, and took to worshiping demons to get revenge on their attackers.

- Shape Change: An Aranea's natural form is a medium sized spider monster. They are able to shift between two other forms, one of a humanoid and a hybrid one. The shapeshifting can't be undone by magic and when an Aranea dies it remains in its current form. The hybrid form has all the abilities of the spider form.
- Bite: The Aranea's bite in spider form is poisonous, with the poison reducing a target's strength score.
- Web: The Aranea is able to toss its web up to six times per day. The web acts as a net, with an effective range of 50 feet.

- Ghost Sound: The Aranea can generate a sound as loud as twelve people, with the Aranea having total control over the content of the sound, so long as it stays within the intensity limit. The range of this spell is 30 feet.
- Light: The Aranea can touch an object and make it produce light as bright as a torch. The light covers 40 foot-radius and it can remain active for half an hour.
- Resistance: The Aranea can touch one creature of its choosing in order to imbue it with magical energy. This allows them to better resist an incoming magical effect.

- Mage Armor: The spell allows the Aranea to create an invisible forcefield for a creature it touches. The spells lasts for 3 hours.
- Silent Image: The Aranea is able to create an illusion of whatever it can imagine, but it will be purely visual without any sounds or scent. The range of the spell is 540 feet and the illusion can be 50 cube foot.
- Sleep: The Aranea is able to create a burst of magic that makes those caught within it to fall asleep. The range of the spell is 130 feet and the area of effect is a 10 feet radius.
