Summary
In the 1960s, Apu lived in India and spent some time as a student of the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. He became a friend of Paul and Linda McCartney. He graduated from Calcutta Technical University and then got a scholarship in the United States at the Springfield Heights Institute of Technology. He achieved a doctorate in Computer Science by designing the world's first tic-tac-toe program that only the top human players could beat. After this, he took a job at the Kwik-E-Mart and continues to work there to this day. Due to his past, he is put in an arranged marriage with a woman named Manjula. After having 8 children (octuplets at that), he continues to raise his family and work his business in Springfield.
