You're a hunter, aren't you ? I knew it. That's precisely how I started out ! Oh, beg pardon, you may call me Alfred. Protege of Master Logarius, hunter of Vilebloods. So, what say you ? Our prey might differ, but we are hunters, the both of us. Why not cooperate, and discuss the things we've learned?
~ Alfred

Summary

Alfred is a member of the Executioners, an order of hunters affiliated with the Healing Church. He is on a mission to assassinate the Vileblood Queen Annalise and free the Executioners' former leader, Martyr Logarius, from eternal stewardship of the castle's seal. If you give him the Unopened Summons found in the Cainhurst throne room he will travel to the castle and finish what his master started by pummeling the queen into pulp with his Logarius' Wheel. With the remains of the queen still on him he laughs jubilantly and is seemingly unhinged. Afterwards, he will thank you for your assistance and leave Cainhurst. He is next found dead at the altar where you first met him.

Powers and Stats

Tier: At least 8-A

Name: Alfred, Hunter of Vilebloods

Origin: Bloodborne

Gender: Male

Age: Unknown

Classification: Human, Hunter, Executioner

Powers and Abilities:

Attack Potency: At least Multi-City Block level (Able to fight against the Cleric Beast and Blood-Starved Beast, as well as stronger normal enemies such as Scourge Beasts, Huntsman's Minions, and Maneater Boars. Should be comparable to the early-game Hunter.)

Speed: High Hypersonic Combat Speed and Reactions (Can react to attacks from the Cleric Beast and Blood-Starved Beast. Can easily dodge point-blank shots from the Hunter Blunderbuss, Hunter Pistol, and Ludwig's Rifle. Can keep up with the early-game Hunter.)

Lifting Strength: Class M (Able to swing the Kirkhammer with this much force. Should be comparable to the early-game Hunter.)

Striking Strength: At least Multi-City Block level

Durability: At least Multi-City Block level

Stamina: Superhuman (All hunters are able to continue fighting even after sustaining injuries such as being stabbed, slashed, crushed, shot, poisoned, electrocuted, burned, and impaled.)

Range: Extended Melee Range with the Kirkhammer and Logarius Wheel, Tens of Meters with Ludwig's Rifle

Standard Equipment:
  • Kirkhammer: A trick weapon typically used by Healing Church hunters. On the one side, an easily handled silver sword, on the other, a giant obtuse stone weapon, characterized by a blunt strike and extreme force of impact.
  • Logarius' Wheel: A Weapon wielded by martyr Logarius' band of executioners. Used to slaughter the Vilebloods in Cainhurst, this weapon is bathed in pools of their blood, and forever steeped in their ire. Transforming it releases the power of the wheel and manifests their lingering rage in a show of utter brilliance.
  • Ludwig's Rifle: A rifle typically used by Healing Church hunters. It is said that this rifle was employed by Ludwig, the first hunter of the Church. Its long, heavy barrel makes up in range for what it lacks in reload speed.
  • Blood Vial: Special blood used in ministration. Restores HP.
  • Antidote: Small medicinal tablets that counteract poison. Used to treat ashen blood, the baffling sickness that ravaged Old Yharnam long ago. These tablets only provide short-term relief.
  • Fire Paper: Coarse paper that applies fire to weapons when rubbed. A hunter tool used in the Healing Church workshop. Since the tragedy that struck Old Yharnam, fire has become a staple in beast hunts, and is thought to cleanse impurity. Certain types of beasts have an abnormal fear of flame.
  • Lead Elixir: A heavy, syrupy liquid medicine. Temporarily shifts weight to make deflection of attacks easier, but must be used with care, as it also slows movement. Its recipe for this mysterious concoction is unknown, but some postulate that it materializes only within the most desperate nightmares. Cuts incoming damage from all sources in half, and causes weaker physical attacks to bounce off the user with minimal damage.
  • Radiance: A secret symbol left by Caryll, runesmith of Byrgenwerth. The rune for "Radiance," adopted by the sworn Executioners under Logarius' command. The executioners despise the impure Vilebloods, and no matter what the circumstances, would never cooperate with the bloodthirsty hunters who serve the undead queen, Annalise. The Radiance Oath effect increases the amount of HP The Hunter's Blood Vials heal.
  • Executioner Set: Attire worn by the band of executioners commanded by the martyr Logarius. Later became that basis for all Church attire, with its heavy draping of Holy Shawl. The brass rivets are unique to the executioners, and reflect their adoration of hand-to-hand combat. This set boasts the highest Blunt defense of all armor sets.

Intelligence: Gifted (Alfred is gifted both in the conventional and combat sense. Conventionally, he is a veritable fountain of knowledge in regards to information about Yharnam, the Healing Church and its founding and blood ministration practices, the histories of Byrgenwerth, and the history of Logarius and the Vilebloods. In addition, having started his career in Yharnam as a hunter for the Healing Church before converting to the Executioners after becoming enamored with their ideals, Alfred is highly skilled. Combat-wise he is a highly skilled fighter as all hunters are, displaying the ability to wield the fairly normal Kirkhammer and the highly nontraditional Logarius Wheel to an equally lethal degree, and can do so while wearing the Gold Ardeo, which fully obstructs his field of view, without any loss in combat efficiency.)

Weaknesses: None notable

Notable Attacks/Techniques:

  • Rally: A core mechanic of a hunter's fighting style, the ability to heal for part or all of the damage taken from a recent attack by retaliating with their own attacks. This allows a hunter to use an offense-centric, high risk/high reward style of combat, giving them the ability to sustain themselves by constantly attacking and counterattacking the enemy. However, this ability requires the opponent to be biological in some manner, as it is done in part by 'bathing in the opponent's blood' and does not work on inanimate targets or spirits[4].
  • Visceral Attack: A unique and brutal technique in a hunter's fighting style, using a firearm or projectile Hunter Tool such as the Blackskye Eye or Augur of Ebrietas to parry an incoming attack, The Hunter briefly staggers the opponent, leaving them open for The Hunter to drive their hand into the opponent's torso or skull and tear out large chunks of their organs, dealing a large amount of damage. This can also be used on an unsuspecting enemy, hitting them with a fully charged heavy melee attack to stagger them in the same way[6].
  • Blood Bullets: A technique used by hunters as a means of conserving or creating ammunition for firearms in place of Quicksilver Bullets. Using their own blood as a substitute, a hunter is able to create a seemingly limitless number of Blood Bullets so long as their vitality holds out[2].
