Summary

The Air Screamer (also known as Avian Monster (Type A)) is a flying enemy appearing in Silent Hill and Silent Hill: Book of Memories.

The Air Screamer is the second enemy that Harry Mason comes into contact with, as one bursts through the cafe window soon after he observes the radio. It is seen before it is actually encountered, flapping past Cafe 5to2's window. The Night Flutter is its Otherworld variant.

Powers and Abilities: Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Longevity, Flight, Enhanced Senses (Enhanced Vision), Natural Weaponry (Teeth, Wings and Tail), Camouflage, and Stealth Mastery (Via ambush), Enhanced Senses (Monsters are strongly attracted to light,[1] sound,[2] and blood,[3] though some monsters are repelled by bright lights[4]), Limited Technology Manipulation (Radios emit static in the presence of monsters[5] with varying frequencies depending on the type of monster[6]), Self-Sustenance (Types 2 & 3; Monsters don’t need to sleep, eat, or drink[7] but will if food is available,[6] including their own kind[8])
