Summary
Ahamkara, also known as wish-dragons, are a species of powerful, paracausal shapeshifters that usually take on a draconic form. As ontopathic predators, they feed on the gradient between reality-as-is and reality-as-desired, acquiring sustenance by granting wishes. They would often use the syntax "o _ mine" to paracausally invoke superiority over their prey. Not native to Sol, they first appeared in the system after the arrival of the Traveler.
Their ability to grant wishes attracted the attention of many of Sol's inhabitants, especially that of the Guardians. These Lightbearers craved power and knowledge, either for self serving reasons or in service of the Last City. They gained much from these bargains, but they always had to pray a price. Once the Ahamkara started rewriting Venus, they were deemed to dangerous to exist by the Consensus of the Last City. This started the Great Hunt, the genocide of the entire Ahamkara species. With the aid of the Awoken, the Guardians killed all Ahamkara known to the Last City. But Ahamkara transcend death and their remains still whisper to those they would prey on.
During the events of Season of the Wish, the Guardians and the Awoken saved the last remaining Ahamkara eggs as part of a bargain with Riven, so that they may follow the Witness into the Pale Heart and prevent it from enacting the Final Shape. It seems likely that in the future a new generation of Ahamkara will be roaming the Sol System.

Paracausal powers in general have proven difficult to steal), Mind Manipulation and Madness Manipulation (Types 2 and 3; they're fine within the Sea of Screams, which is hostile to the psyche and indirect exposure to the Ascendant Plane is enough to drive people mad.[93][91] They're also unaffected by its brain stain, infection by a contagious idea[131]), Existence Erasure (Can maintain their existence within the Ascendant Plane[89]), Conceptual Manipulation (Type 2; the Sea of Screams erodes one's 'shape', threatening their very being[93]), Fusionism (Can maintain their 'shape' within the Ascendant Plane[90]), Corruption and Transmutation (Ahamkara are unaffected by Vex corruption and are fine within the Black Garden, which turns anything not of the Garden into part of it and grows its secrets in them[132][2][131]), Radiation Manipulation and Temperature Manipulation (Ahamkara are capable of surviving in the heliopause and are resilient against Solar Light used by Guardians[2]), Subjective Reality, Reality Warping, Law Manipulation, Matter Manipulation (Macro-Quantum), Energy Manipulation, Explosion Manipulation, Fire Manipulation, Light Manipulation, Magma Manipulation, Plasma Manipulation, Electricity Manipulation, Magnetism Manipulation, Gravity Manipulation, Space-Time Manipulation, Physics Manipulation, and Absolute Zero (Ahamkara are resistant to attacks commonly used by Guardians, including Warlocks and are known not to fall to the attacks of Titans[56][30])

Attack Potency: Varies (The strength of individual Ahamkara may vary), City Block level (A Warlock was convinced he'd accidentally gotten a Hunter killed by spurring her on to kill an Ahamkara.[56] Before the Great Hunt, the average Guardian had not been threatened like they were by the Ahamkara.[30] Most Ahamkara required groups of Guardians to take them down, making them at least on par with Goliath Tanks[39]) to Small Town level (Ahamkara were blasting and paving entire regions of Venus.[110] Some Ahamkara are comparable to Eris Morn, who created a small storm together with Ikora Rey[53][59]), at most Large Country level+ (Ahamkara are a rival species to Worms, which the Hive get most of their power from.[13][101] They are mentioned by Savathûn among some of the powerful beings viewed as gods.[139] Riven should be somewhat comparable to her Taken self, though still weaker.[2] Hefnd killed Lord Shaxx fourteen times before being felled, earning the warlord's respect[140])
Speed: Varies (The speed of individual Ahamkara may vary), at least Subsonic (At least on par with Guardians, such as warlocks, as they could fight against groups of them[39]) to Supersonic (Some Ahamkara should be comparable to, if not faster than, Saladin when he caught a bullet[141][20]), at most Massively Hypersonic+ (Particularly mighty Ahamkara can keep up with powerful Guardians and as such they are faster than The Stormherd, who can hook lightning from the sky mid-descent[142])
Lifting Strength: Varies (The strength of individual Ahamkara may vary), at least Class 5 (Ahamkara are considerably stronger than Titans.[56][30][39] Titan helmets are heavy enough to snap a human neck[143] and other armor pieces are heavy enough to break skulls[144] and rocks[145] through sheer mass) to Class M (Stronger Ahamkara should be comparable to Lady Efrideet, who threw Saladin from a mountain, hitting a Fallen Walker twenty miles away[146][147][20]), at most likely Class P (Powerful Ahamkara should be comparable to high level Ascendant Knights and powerful Guardians, such as some Warlocks[13][101][139][140][2])
Striking Strength: Varies (The strength of individual Ahamkara may vary), City Block level to Small Town level, at most Large Country level+ (Comparable to their AP[1])
Durability: Varies (The durability of individual Ahamkara may vary), City Block level (Before the Great Hunt, the average Guardian had not been threatened like they were by the Ahamkara.[30] Most Ahamkara required groups of Guardians to take them down, making them at least on par with Goliath Tanks[39]) to Small Town level (Comparable to their AP. Some Ahamkara are capable of taking hits from the likes of Eris Morn, who created a small storm together with Ikora Rey[53][59]), at most Large Country level+ (Powerful Ahamkara should be comparable to high level Ascendant Knights and powerful Guardians, such as some Warlocks.[13][101][139] Hefnd killed Lord Shaxx fourteen times before the warlord was able to slay him[140][2])
Stamina: Superhuman (Ahamkara can potentially fight for an entire day[47])
Range: Below Standard Melee Range to Tens of Meters physically, up to at least Tens of Kilometers and Interdimensional with abilities (Even while dead, Hefnd created a snowstorm that covered the entire sky on a priorly clean day.[25] On Venus, Ahamkara were blasting and paving entire regions.[110] And whims, young Ahamkara, are capable of changing weather patterns to create sandstorms.[2] Ahamkara can create openings into other realities and reach there with their abilities.[148][149][2][9][33][70][73][75][77][79][80][82][83][84][3][1][32][62] After the death of their physical bodies, Ahamkara climb the Anathematic Arc to a place they consider more real ontologically, but they are still able to affect base reality through their physical remains[50])
Standard Equipment: None notable
Intelligence: Above Average (Ahamkara have a keen memory.[150] Generally, Ahamkara need to be cunning, capable of manipulating others and using the 'space between words' to their own advantage in order to acquire sustenance[12]) to Genius (Ahamkara can be incredibly knowledgeable about a wide variety of subjects, causing many, including Warlocks, to make bargains with them in exchange for this knowledge[151][116])
Weaknesses: Using wish-magic to fulfill their own wishes will tax an Ahamkara's very existence.[152][58][10][33][49] Reflective surfaces can reveal the truth behind Ahamkara illusions and intentions.[153][154][155][26] The wish-magic of Ahamkara bones seems to be less potent.[12]
Notable Attacks/Techniques:
- Wish-Magic: Ahamkara fulfill wishes, desires, by leveraging the Anthem Anatheme to make objective reality conform to the subjective will, substituting what is with what could be. They can potentially warp reality on large scales with this ability. Every wish is a bargain, which involves a binding contract between the 'wisher' and the Ahamkara. However, the wish-dragons can twist the wisher's intentions, purposefully 'misinterpreting' their wish in order to acquire greater sustenance. This often comes with dire consequences for the wisher. They can even fulfill their own wishes, though they normally would never do so, as it taxes their very existence.
- Shapeshifting: Ahamkara are shapeshifters, capable of assuming a wide variety of forms, organic and inorganic. They can do so without regard for conservation of mass and even use it to mimic the physical characteristics of other entities, including abilities.
- Corrosive Aura: The Ahamkara is surrounded by several meters of corrosive aura that will quickly kill any enemies within its range.
- Blistering Soulfire: The Ahamkara spews a stream of soulfire from its mouth, dealing Solar damage.
Note: Though specific abilities resulting from wish-magic are listed in the Powers and Abilities section, its potential uses aren't limited to the listed examples.
