Summary
Agni is the protagonist of Tatsuki Fujimoto's manga Fire Punch. One among the rare people blessed with powers on a frozen, dying world, Agni's Blessing gifts him with powerful regeneration, which he uses to feed his village by repeatedly chopping off his arms, and gifting them as food. However, one day this village is approached by a platoon led by a man known as Doma. Blessed with the power to emanate flames that never go out, Doma is disgusted by the village's cannibalistic tendencies, and burns it down to the ground.
With his incredible regenerative powers keeping him alive against the agony of the flames now forever burning his flesh, Agni manages to eventually will himself back on his feet with the sole mission to kill Doma. Through the events of Fire Punch however Agni finds his motivations and goals shifting multiple times, going from a hero beloved by the weak to a murderous berserker feared by all, a god worshiped by an entire town and a simple man living an anonymous life, always pushed forward by his sister's last words: an order to push forward and live, no matter the cost.

- Immortality (Type 1 and 3. Agni does not age,[3] even after the passing of millennia upon millennia[4])
- Regeneration (Mid-High. Despite being set on fire, a flame powerful enough to carbonize normal humans, Agni is kept alive by his regenerative abilities.[5] This regeneration is strong enough to allow Agni to regenerate from just a head[6] in seconds,[7] from scraps of his head[8] or even[9] from[7] being[10] carbonized[11])
- Supernatural Willpower (After being set on an unending fire for years, kept alive by his regeneration powers, Agni managed to eventually power through the pain and learn to function in a process that took years of unending agony, all despite having the ability to end his own life.[5] Even after this, Agni still feels the agony and has not grown numb to it.[12] Beyond this, Agni has willingly subjected himself to other kinds of torture, such as repeatedly having his face cut apart to feed a population[13])

- Optional Equipment: Agni has used a metallic, fireproof arm that increased the strength of his blows, and that he could set aflame for a temporary fire boost by speaking the words "Fire Punch".[27]
Intelligence: Below Average (Due to having spent most of his lifetime in complete agony and effectively being unable to interact with the environment in any way as he was constantly regenerating from Doma's flames, Agni effectively has the mentality of someone much younger than his actual age. However, he has shown to be quite clever in other regards, having assimilated his combat training quite well and being an incredibly convincing liar when no longer affected by the pain of the flames surrounding him)
Standard Tactics: Agni typically engages his opponents in hand to hand combat, but will tear off and throw parts of his body[31] or simply objects laying around as a flaming attack to hit far away enemies.
Weaknesses: Is constantly in complete agony. Cannot affect high-quality fireproof cloth.[1] Somewhat mentally and emotionally stunted due to the incredible pain he's always in.
