African wild dogs epitomize the beauty of diversity in nature, with their unique coat patterns and remarkable hunting strategies. They are a true testament to the wonders of evolution.
~ Richard Estes

Summary

The African wild dog (Lycaon pictus), also called the painted wolf or Cape hunting dog, is a canine native to sub-Saharan Africa. It is the largest indigenous canine in Africa, and the only extant member of the genus Lycaon, which is distinguished from Canis by dentition highly specialised for a hypercarnivorous diet, and a lack of dewclaws.

The African wild dog is a highly social animal, living in packs with separate dominance hierarchies for males and females. Uniquely among social carnivores, the females rather than the males disperse from the natal pack once sexually mature. The young are allowed to feed first on carcasses. The species is a specialised diurnal hunter of antelopes, which it catches by chasing them to exhaustion. Like other canids, the African wild dog regurgitates food for its young, but this action is also extended to adults, to the point of being central to their social life. Its natural enemies are lions and hyenas.

Work in packs to take down larger animals), Street level kinetic energy (Its kinetic energy should put its attack potency around this level), higher via piercing damage (An African wild dog can bite with a force of over 317 PSI, which can break and crush bones, and is stronger than most domestic dogs have. Easily kill and gore Antelopes and other animals.[1] Certain packs in Serengeti specialized in hunting adult zebra, and have allegedly hunted prey weighing up to 289 kg, such as adolescent buffalo[2])

Lifting Strength: At least Below Average Human (Can take down larger animals and drag their carcasses in packs. Should be stronger than coyotes via sheer size)

Striking Strength: Human Class

Stamina: Athletic to Peak Human (African Wild Dogs are renowned for their remarkable stamina; They have a remarkable cardiovascular system, possessing a large heart and lungs enabling them to sustain running for long distances. Their body structure is adapted for reducing heat build-up and conserving energy, having a distinctive loping gait that allows them to maintain a steady pace while conserving energy. They can maintain their top speed of 37-44 mph for several miles, which allows them to outlast their prey, which often succumbs to exhaustion before the dogs do)
