Originally created by the Overmind, Abathur is the Evolution Master of The Zerg Swarm, testing and manipulating the genetic sequences the Zerg come across as they encounter new worlds in order to create new, stronger Zerg breeds. Under the Overmind's instruction, Abathur had created the original Queen of Blades.
